Silvandro Pedrozo is a software quality and machine learning specialist with a background in telecommunications and software engineering. He graduated in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Pernambuco and obtained a master's degree in Software Engineering from CESAR School.

He has 10 years of experience as a Software Quality Engineer, having worked at the Samsung Research and Development Institute, where he led a technical team and a research group in software testing. Currently, he works as a Staff Software Development Engineer in Test at Cint. He is also the co-author of the book Mitigating Bias in Machine Learning, in which he discusses strategies and practices for identifying and mitigating biases in machine learning-based systems. In his master's thesis, he investigated methods to detect and reduce algorithmic biases in systems that use supervised machine learning for decision-making. Furthermore, he has shared his knowledge and reflections on algorithmic bias at academic conferences.
